I'g trying to understand exactly how ilok.com works.

I know in that location's a transfer fee of 25$ per license. What I'g not sure of is how it works when y'all sell the physical dongle.

If I take an ilok loaded with plugins registered to my account, can I sell the physical ilok to someone else and avoid transfer fees? Will the licenses go transferred?

Obviously the licenses are on that key, simply with no buying transfer how does the new owner get possession of them? I know they can open up the software with the dongle, just do the licenses stay in my account? Can you insert an empty unregistered ilok, dump the plugs on it (even though this is done through my user account) and sell the licenses without fees???

Ok, if I remember correctly, here'south how it works in your case...

Yous tin can sell the dongle with all the plugs, but the buyer volition not be able to annals that iLok to his iLok account... which means that he will not be able to synchronize & transfer those plug-in authorizations to someone else afterwards. Instead, the iLok will notwithstanding be attached to your account. (Of grade, you tin't synchronize and transfer those plugs either, because you lot won't physically have the iLok in your possession.) So if that's not an issue...

hey.

i bought sound ease altiverb via ebay including an ilok.
i understand how it works if y'all only sell the transfere.
but in this case i bought both cause i take no ilok.

so at present i created a new ilok account.

we already registered the software licence on the audioease page to the new owner.

merely what can we do now with the ilok?
the thing is i bought a waves bundle and can´t utilize it cause i have no ilok that is registered on my proper noun.
and then i really don´t get it.isn´t in that location any possibility to transfere the physical ilok?

if its not possible, i have to get a new ilok.
thats the next question, i ordered pro tools 9 just theres a delay on commitment.
so does the Pro Tools9 crossgrade include the new ilok2???? or do i have to purchase ane before i can utilize PT9???

i thought that it will exist uncomplicated to purchase altiverb, transfere the ilok account, register my waves bundle and everything is cool.
but seems similar if its admittedly not so easy as i thought.

Would this be the better option if you're merely transferring 1 license? I enquire, because i'one thousand getting the impression that for 1 license transfer on ilok.com, it'due south only going to be $25, whereas a new ilok will cost more than that.
